Pets are family. Therefore, they must be medically-treated just like how our relatives should be, with utmost urgency and care.
That’s why we created a list of the best mobile vets in Melbourne to take some stress off of your shoulders. They know exactly how to take care of you both!
How much do mobile vets typically cost in Melbourne?
On average, mobile vets in Melbourne charge between $130-$190 per at-home consultation. However, the final price may vary depending on the client’s location, the condition of the pet, and the expertise of the attending vet.
1. Ready Vet Go

Address: Caufield, Victoria
Phone: 0421 095 838
Operating hours: Monday to Friday, Sunday – 2:00pm – 11:00pm
Ready Vet Go is one of the pioneer pet ambulances in Melbourne.
Despite a standard home consultation rated at $290, their customers praise their quick response in terms of attending to pet health emergencies. They also offer a 20-minute video consultation with an emergency vet for a less expensive rate of $79.
This gives their customers a cheaper option for urgent health concerns.
Their team of experts is also recognized as a team of compassionate vet doctors who take every pet health case with utmost openness and attention.
Most of their clients care less about their inexpensive rate and more about their top-notch care for every pet that comes to them.
In fact, some of the clients that we talked to had previous vets disregard their concern but then reached out to Ready Vet Go and were treated without any hesitation.
Took concerns seriously
“I cannot express my gratitude to Ready Vet Go. When my little Jack Russell was very ill, I contacted Ready Vet Go and they were fantastic. Incredibly quick to get back to me after jumping on the website which was such a relief as my fur baby was really sick and I was very distressed after being ignored by another vet and made to feel I was overreacting. Ready Vet Go took my concerns seriously and it was such a relief because I really didn’t know what to do. Because of them, my little guy received the care he needed. He was in hospital for 3 nights and is now on the mend. He had a serious condition and I hate to think of how this could have gone if it wasn’t for Ready Vet Go. I would give them 1000 stars if I could!”

Affordable service
“What an amazing service “Ready Vet Go” is. My Chihuahua “Maggie” has been out of sorts for a couple of days. Then tonight “Sunday” she was having trouble breathing and vomited. She was very stressed. From the call with Nick who was clear, concise and calm to when Nick and the Vet Paul arrived was only 40min. Paul was extremely thorough and explained everything as he examined Maggie. Some ante nausea medication and a simple diet for the coming days and Maggie should be back to her sassy self! 🐾
This service is very affordable and not having to take Maggie to the 24hr vet hospital was so much less stressful! I would highly recommend this service.
Thankyou guys 🙏🐾”

Professional and sensitive
“Since the first day my old Labrador met Dr Laurence, we realized how excellent professional he is. He took the time to answer all my questions, listened to Koome history and continued a follow-up after the visit. In addition, he is sensitive friendly and nice with pet owners. So, without doubt, when my almost 16-year-old dog needed to say goodbye to us, I called Laurence to accompany Koome to the end of her beautiful life. He and the nurse were very respectful and sensitive at this difficult time. Koome slept peacefully in the best hands. He is really the best vet I met, and I recommend him 100%. Thanks Laurence, I really appreciate your professional, kind and amazing service!”

Humanly and gentle experience
“Unable to take my 17yo cat to the vet to be euthanised, I found Pawssum Melbourne. They sent Dr Carla. I was a blubbering mess and she made the experience as gentle and kind as humanly possible, kneeling on the bathroom tiles to avoid distressing my baby. Hope to never go through this again (losing my fur baby) but grateful to the swift and caring service. Would recommend. RIP Bonnie and thank you to Dr Carla.”
