The 5 Best Podiatrists in Melbourne Worth Your Visit

Qualifications and Experience: I reviewed each practitioner’s background to ensure they have the right skills and experience for various foot problems. I also looked for professionals who keep learning about new treatments and care methods.

Range of Services: I reviewed the types of services each clinic offers, from basic foot care to advanced assessments. I focused on places that can handle different needs in one location.

Technology and Equipment: I checked whether clinics use modern tools such as 3D scanning and computerized gait analysis. These technologies help find the cause of foot pain and create more suitable treatment plans.

Accessibility and Convenience: I considered clinics with flexible hours, easy locations, same-day appointments, or home visits. These options make it easier for busy patients to get care.

Patient Support and Care: I looked for clinics that provide personal care and clear guidance throughout recovery. Good practitioners explain problems simply and involve patients in their treatment plans.

Melbourne locals readily invest in self-care at thermage and HIFU clinics, yet your feet should never be left out of the equation. A sudden arch pain can easily derail your daily routine when ignored.

Long-term mobility depends on finding reputable podiatry practices that specialize in expert foot and ankle care.

To help you find trusted care, we evaluated the top medical professionals across the city. Below are our top picks for the best podiatrists in Melbourne!

Thorough Care That Saved My Holiday

Very lucky to get a cancellation appointment with Jamie who I am sure saved me a trio to the hospital.  He provided some dressings to use over the next few days, and also advised a local shop that fitted me with correct width trainers and gave me a discount. I had a follow up a few days later and my feet are on the mend for the rest of my holiday.  Jamie also gave me some tips on where to go on my last day in Melbourne which was really appreciated.  Very thorough and knowledgeable podiatrist – thank you!

Expert Guidance for Running and Hiking

Jamie is a gem. A gem in all sense. A professional podiatrist, a great person, an honourable gentlemen, a great teacher/shifu. Can’t say enough of him. He assessed and recommended the special insoles and the special running and hiking shoes for my running and hiking interest/sport. Beyond and above his job, I requested and he kindly obliged to teach me his basic ultra long distance marathon running technique including specific customised running program for my 6 months back in Malaysia. What more do one ask for? Nothing more and nothing less from a shifu gem of this calibre.

Trusted Podiatry Care for Over a Decade

I have been seeing Scott since I was a kid for my flat feet. A decade later and I’m still seeing the same podiatrist. Great service and very friendly. Scott addresses your concerns and makes great recommendations.

Personalized Treatment With Genuine Care

I had a great experience with my podiatrist. He was incredibly thorough during the assessment and took the time to explain everything clearly. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, he developed a treatment plan that was tailored to my specific needs and made sure I understood each step of the process. He was also very patient, attentive, and happy to answer all of my questions, which made me feel comfortable and confident in my treatment. I really appreciated his professionalism and genuine care. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate podiatrist.

Comprehensive Care Worth Travelling For

I’ve been living in Sydney for 3 years but fly back to Melbourne to see Stephanie – no other podiatrist compares. She looks at my feet, gait, shoes, orthotics and mobility in a comprehensive way to help correct the problem, rather than just doing the standard treatment other podiatrists do. She’s genuinely the best podiatrist!

Fast Diagnosis and Effective Treatment

Stephanie is amazing!  I saw a specialist after my GP was unable to diagnose a condition with my toe and I found Stephanie.  She was able to diagnose me as soon as she saw my toe and start me on a course of treatment.  My feet looked fantastic after seeing her and my toe is so much better.  I’ll be seeing her from now on and would highly recommend her.  She’s also very professional and lovely!

We also love that they provide highly specialized treatments, such as photodynamic therapy to tackle stubborn fungal nail problems.

Life-Changing Relief After Years of Pain

Best podiatry doctor I’ve ever been to! I had a foot problem that lasted over 6 years — I kept thinking it would go away on its own, but it never did. Friends, family, and even doctors were shocked I was still walking on it! After just 4 weeks of seeing this podiatrist once a week, I can honestly say I feel like I’m flying when I walk. I feel like a new man! Highly recommend!

A Welcoming and Supportive First Visit

My first time coming to my podiatrist and I had a great experience. All the staff were so lovely especially Dr Elizabeth who goes above and beyond. Would recommend anyone looking for a great podiatrist.

Up and Running Podiatry is a great option for runners and active people who need expert foot care. Its founders, including an Ironman finisher and former elite middle-distance runner, bring strong sports knowledge to every session.

They do a great job helping with running injuries, complex biomechanics, and general foot concerns. This means you absolutely do not need to be an athlete to benefit from a visit.

On top of that, we really appreciate that the clinic accepts a wide variety of private health insurance plans. This makes managing the cost of your treatment much easier.

One important point to remember is that Medicare EPC appointments are not bulk-billed here. As a result, you’ll definitely need to pay a gap fee for these specific visits.

Pros

Cons

  • Gap fee for Medicare EPC appointments

Expert Care for a Running Stress Fracture

Matt Fieldsend is the best podiatrist I have ever seen and has been on a long journey with me and a terrible stress fracture that occurred in my left foot about 3 years ago due to an overload in running. Matt is extremely thorough and beyond knowledgeable. He is also very well connected with other specialists in Melbourne and will always refer you to the best people. I highly recommend him if you are a runner as Matt is so professional and has so much compassion as well. Up and Running Podiatry  are so lucky to have him!

Thorough Assessment and Customized Foot Care

I have had superb foot care from Up & Running this year. My podiatrist is Mundeep Johal – a lovely guy. The first session was very thorough. I was sent for x-rays which revealed a bone spur on the outer edge of one foot, plus osteoarthritis in the big toe joint of the same foot. No wonder I was getting pain after jogging. I now have a customised orthotic to wear when exercising, I’ve been given lots of exercise advice, and Mundeep has provided me with guidance in what to look for when buying shoes. Highly recommended.
